Cinema Politica would like to invite you to a roundtable focused on crowdfunding for emerging independent (and political!) filmmakers. Drawing on the personal and professional experience of the participants, the session will explore the latest trends, what kinds of projects may or may not fit, the ABCs of running a campaign, common strategies used to mobilize communities of support and activate audiences, advantages and disadvantages, different platforms, as well as tips and tricks. Confirmed participants: Svetla Turnin (executive director of Cinema Politica), Amy Miller (filmmaker), Arshad Khan (filmmaker and programmer for Mosaic World Film Festival) and Francois Bédard (Ulule).
