The product of a long-term collaboration between Robert Frank and writer Rudy Wurlitzer, the film recounts the trials and tribulations of a musician seeking an incomparable luthier to help him achieve wealth and fame. Starring Kevin J. O’Connor, Tom Waits and Bulle Ogier, with cameos by well-known musicians like Joe Strummer, Arto Lindsay and Dr. John. A Canada-France-Switzerland co-production filmed in New York and Cape Breton Island, where Frank has lived since the 1970s.
