After forty days and forty nights in the desert, Jesus goes back to his community, supported by his disciple Judas who devotedly watches over him. His teachings attract resistance members, disturb certain priests and draw the attention of the Roman authorities. Judas, who has well understood the revolutionary implications of the master’s words, tries to get them heard while at the same time fearing their power in their written form. A contemporary take on the life of Jesus that turns the idea of Judas’s betrayal on its head. Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, Berlin Festival 2015.
